Meet Our Dermatopathologists

Dr. Lawrence earned his medical degree and completed his Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He subsequently completed advanced fellowship training in oncologic surgical pathology at MD Anderson Cancer Center and Dermatopathology at Duke University Medical Center.
His combined training in surgical pathology and dermatopathology provides a strong foundation for interpreting both routine and complex cutaneous specimens. Dr. Lawrence is committed to clear diagnostic reporting, responsive consultation, and direct collaboration with dermatology practices.

A native of Florence, Alabama, Dr. Hilliard earned his medical degree and completed his Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He went on to complete fellowships in Hematopathology and Dermatopathology at UAB, along with specialized training in oncologic surgical pathology at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
His extensive subspecialty training supports expert evaluation of routine, complex, and diagnostically challenging dermatopathology cases, including melanocytic lesions and cutaneous neoplasms. Dr. Hilliard values direct physician communication and collaborative consultation with the dermatology practices Vivid serves.
